We love trail running anywhere, but would feel privileged to share the wonderful Ashdown Forest with you!
Before you come and join us for a run, do get in touch so we can let you know the upcoming schedule. We’ll also ask for some personal details from a Health and Safety perspective.
We will run together getting to know each other whilst chatting about your goals, the sessions we organise, what we do as runners, who we are and why we are such a lovely group that you’d hopefully like to be a regular part of.
You’ll meet some of the group, getting to know us and exploring the Ashdown Forest trails with other runners. No fear of getting lost or left behind- we’ll even help you up if you fall over in the mud (we’ve all been there, done that)!
You don’t need to be an experienced trail runner, but we do ask that you can comfortably run 4-5 miles, and choose your first session based on your ability.
Unfortunately, we do not offer Couch25K or Beginner sessions, this is due to the challenging terrain on the forest and the distances we usually cover as a group. If there is demand, we could offer separate groups, organised specially, with one of our coaches or leaders. Please enquire directly.
For all runs, trail shoes are essential. Please come Run Ready and ensure you have any medication, such as inhalers, available. A charged mobile phone is also recommended, with OffLine maps downloaded as a bonus (just in case!)
Car parking available free of charge, but there are no toilet facilities.

Various sessions are held across the week, to cater for different paces and distances.
regular run schedule
Monday 8.45am - best described as our most ‘chatty pace’ run - come join us for a no pressure trail run approx 5 miles / 55 mins. Meet Nutley Memorial Hall
Thursday 2pm - For the more regular runner, distance approx 6-7miles / 60-70mins, on the trails. Still a social run, but expect to cover a continuous distance. Meet Nutley Memorial Hall
Saturday 8am - Wake up your weekend! TWO groups available: Easy Paced 6ish Miles over 65-70mins and a longer run group who cover approx 9 miles over 90 minutes (we take on some adventurous routes!) Meet Nutley Memorial Hall
Please note: Our run schedule is different in the school holidays. The schedule is communicated to everyone on our WhatsApp group an a regular basis. Individuals also post on the WhatsApp group if they are running and are happy to run with others when they go. RSVPs are requried from all runners.
